Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to announce our upcoming Career Day, which will take place on Wednesday, February 5 at 8:00 am - 10:00 am. This special event is a wonderful opportunity for our students to explore various career paths and gain inspiration for their futures. T o make this day truly impactful, we are reaching out to requesting speakers from our Iliahi Ohana and Wahiawa community to speak to our students in preschool through grade 5.
As a guest speaker, you would have 3 sessions of approximately 20 minutes each to share with students about your career. During your presentation, we encourage you to:
Talk about your job and what you do
Share what inspired you to choose your career
Highlight how elementary school skills—like reading, writing, math, or problem-solving—help in your work
Your insights will not only give students a glimpse into the working world but also help them understand the real-world application of the skills they are developing today. Your experiences can leave a lasting impression on our students.
If you are interested in participating, please this Google Form (https://bit.ly/IESCareerDay2025) by January 15, 2025. We will provide more details about the schedule and logistics once we have confirmed your participation. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Olegario at (808) 622-6411 or at Normann.Olegario@k12.hi.us.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to inspire and educate our students. We truly value the diverse experiences and expertise within our parent community and hope you will join us in making this Career Day a memorable experience!
